A practical review for you

I enjoyed my stay at this charming inn. The staff were exceptionally warm, and the location was conveniently close to the city center, making it an ideal spot for a short getaway. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and breakfast offered generous choices. Truly a bargain for the price!

Not quite what we hoped for

Stayed for 2 nights in a Standard King Room. The breakfast situation was a bit of a disaster on our last day – kitchen was closed and no staff around. Had to grab food elsewhere. the bathroom had a weird smell that didn’t go away even with a spray. The bar lounge area was decent though.

Had a fantastic breakfast preordered the night before they let you choose what you want and it was all done to perfection. the room was spacious with comfortable amenities and a lovely view of the garden where I could sip my coffee and just think about life.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but you get what you pay for.

easy access to york city walls and charming local eateries

the staff were incredibly friendly, and I loved how the bar was always filled with nice folks creating a warm atmosphere, while the hotel is conveniently close to the magnificent york city walls and the vibrant restaurant scene, making my strolls even more delightful and memorable during my stay.

my stay was great! the room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely contemporary decoration. the convenient location made it easy to walk into york, and the friendly staff were super helpful.

the shower head was broken.

great ambience n felt right at home. the staff were super friendly n helpful. breakfast was amazin, best full english iv ever had! loved the spacious room. the beer garden was a lovely plus for chillin outside.

the shower pressure was kinda weak n there was some dog dirt in the garden. wasn't too cool with that.

The bathroom decor needs a serious overhaul!!! Stained towels and chipped cups in the room were disappointing. The absence of lighting in the parking area created confusion during check-in. Please improve these details!!!

Great staff and clean room, but decor needs updating. Wi-Fi and parking were bonuses!

Comfortable Stay with Helpful Staff

I had a lovely experience during my one-night stay. The location was great, just a 15-minute walk from the city center, and the staff were fabulous, always going out of their way to help. My room was clean and comfortable, complete with a large bathroom and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious, featuring a range of options including fresh fruits and pastries. the breakfast could be improved with a wider selection of hot items.

will definitely go back there again

Fantastic location, just 15 mins walk to York. The double room was super comfy with a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and free toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too. Parking on-site was a lifesaver.

I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast options and the pleasant atmosphere in the beer garden. The comfortable bed made our stay even better. I'd book again in a heartbeat!
